Just finished building the terrain in the Killzone: Sector Munitorum. Wow, that is actually a lot of terrain!
WiP – Toxic Ooze Puddles
Here are some toxic ooze puddles that can be used as impassable terrain for Shadow War, but could be used in any Warhammer 40K game. Now I need to create some broken pipe and make some green stuff partial barrels to “float” in there too. For scale there is a Dire Avenger Exarch in the center.
WiP – Second Set of SW Terrain
Started to work on my second set of Shadow War: Armageddon terrain this morning. Didn’t have much time since we had to be in the Cities for an Early Halloween party, but I didn’t manage to get most of the large pieces cut out, cleaned up, and glued. This set I will magnetize to see how much work it will be and if it really works well enough to justify the time and magnets. If it really works well I will go back and magnetize the first set.
Tips on Shadow Terrain
I was looking through the Shadow War Armageddon Community on Facebook and there was a comment from Tom Joyce pointing out Ray’s Twitter feed that had some very handy tips putting the terrain into different configurations.
WiP – SW Ferratonic Furnace
Sector Mechanicus Ferratonic Furnace worth of Shadow War: Armageddon terrain almost done. Just need to wash the body and dry brush the silver (maybe).
WiP – Shadow War Terrain
Spurred on by the painting drive created by the Flames of Konor paint submissions I have finally started to work on the Shadow War box set terrain. I am still hoping to get some done to turn in by the end of day tomorrow, but don’t hold out hope. I have made more progress than this picture shows, but since I am busy tonight.
Won Some Scatter Terrain

I didn’t win a game toay, but I did win some cool 3D-printed scatter terrain made by Dustan. 3 Small cargo containers and 12 crates of assorted sizes. Yay for more terrain for Shadow War. Now I need to get my SW:A terrain painted for the Konor campaign.
Prototype Industrial Terrain
Prototype of new terrain. The play testing of it went well, I played four Shadow War games with it, 2 friendly on Friday and 2 campaign on Sunday. Both were against Tyranids, you can see the Battle Reports in earlier posts (Friendly, Campaign). What I am trying to figure out is whether to do the buttress like shown or a frame like Danny’s inspirational piece below. Leaning toward the frame. Also discussed putting a square stairwell in a corner as a second way to climb to the different platforms. I think that I will but not sure if it should be actual stairs or a ramp – a ramp would be easier to move models on.
EDIT: Worried that the original FB post may go away so I downloaded the other pics.
